learning to listen

this is a really great season of life for me because my Father is pursuing me. and, maybe for the first time, i am completely content with that. i am just excited for that alone time with him. so, since there isn't some guy consuming my thoughts, i've been freed up to focus on the Lord and all that he has for me. i'm beginning to see myself in a different way, and that is a wonderful feeling. i do have a lot of questions about life, and lately i've really been contemplating the verse about how everything is permissable, but not everything is constructive. what exactly does that mean? and is it the same as "do not cause anyone to stumble"? and does that even play a part if it is not seen or known by those who may take it the wrong way? there are some things in life that don't seem to have perfectly clear answers, but maybe i just don't want to hear what God has to say about it. i guess i just answered my own questions. i should just listen to God.

do it sam. know your god. prove your love in purity and holiness. if things seem confusing for a season, lay them down until you have no reservations. let god work into or out of you whatever it is that he wants. wait for him. it's a good hard place to be.
